REVIEW: Coming Home To Taeyeon

Taeyeon said it herself during the concert that she feels the most when she’s onstage, and those feelings radiate. The concert was not intimate because the venue was small, rather it was intimate because Taeyeon was the one singing. She closes her eyes and sings as if no one is watching, and in those moments it feels like she would sing even if no one asked her to. The stage is home to her, and we are most welcome to watch her laugh, cry, be awkward, be vulnerable, and be human.

The concert felt like a fan meeting as she made sure to interact with her fans. There was even a moment when she shared her sentiments and PH SONEs kept on jeering her with “Iiyak na yan” to which she reacted. She was even tagged as the "Pambansang Beshy/Beshie” and she actively played along by repeating every Filipino word uttered by her fans. Taeyeon also conveyed how elated she was meeting her Filipino fans, saying “How long have you guys waited for me? I also waited a long time for you guys. For us to come here, there are lots of things that happened, but I thought that you guys are the most important thing. I will go back to Korea thinking that my decision wasn’t wrong."
